You might want to check out the cubic wood-burning stove that Throwback Chevy uses. I think I'd put one in my van if I do a build and start nomading. It is DEFINITELY worth a look. See: "Wood Stove in a Van! - Throwback Chevy" at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiPugoGErNQ. Al the best!

Jesus Christ thats alot of propane. I heat my house with less propane than that. I run a propane heater 75% of the time and a 100lb tank last me at least a month.

We use reflectix on all the windows and cover the door with a blanket. Our temps are in the 20’s at night, with our propane heater we are comfy at 50-60 degrees. With the water heater, we are using one 20 lb tank a week. You have some serious insulation problems with the class c. Do you close off the cab at night?

Why not shoot at 30 or 24fps? Slower shutter speed will allow for better low light performance. Not to mention better rendering and export time during post production.

I just came back from a northern Michigan hunting trip. I used a Wave 6 heater in my travel trailer to supplement the furnace. When my generator was running I turned on the furnace. At night and when I was away from the trailer I set the Wave heater on medium. It maintained the temp between 55 and 60 on that setting. This was on days where the temperature never got out of the twenties with pretty strong winds. I love that heater. It burns much less propane and make no noise.

Hey Eric, Great sticker deal. You can run a electric heater off 15amp. I run a Patton space heater with fan from Walmart, on low setting of 750 watts and it works great. You must have a power cord able to handle it. I use a heavy duty 12/2 of 25 foot for 6 years and no problems. Good luck..Keep warm

I just got back to FL from Delaware. Temps were mid 20’s at night to low 40’s during the day. My onboard heater kept my trailer at 65 degrees day and night. I used one 20# tank every four days! I have two Buddy heaters sitting unused in my shed. They were super inefficient.

Vor 29 Tage

The Atwood furnace wouldn't use that much propane because you would heat the place, let it cool down, and heat it up again. The Buddy has to be on 24/7 just to keep it above freezing. The Atwood would do that in about 10 minutes. I'd consider putting one back in just so it's there.

I had bad experiences with my buddy heater. First 2 weeks it fairly worked well for my campervan but didn't heat like folks rave about. Then all of sudden i felt sick each time i used it like CM poison. I phoned BH and they said no current recalls. It was the same ordeal.. Same windows open for vent etc. So i returned it back to store for a refund. And it was expensive buying propane cans for it. And here im a campervan and back of van was still cold. And yes i hooked up cans correctly and 2 brands of propane got me sick off BH. It was a reject and i no longer trust this company to buy another one.

A cheaper way to heat the RV and not burn thru so much propane, install a tiny wood stove. That’s what I’m planning to do in the future. Installation process would make a great video!! Im also planning to collect rain from the roof and have it drain directly into the fresh water tank through in-line filter. For drinking water I’m going to use my travel Berkey. Between those two modifications, all I need now are solar panels and a large battery bank and I’ll be completely off grid and fully contained.

This is a late comment. It seems like your Mr. Buddy uses twice the propane of my Mr. Buddy Jr. I'm heating a 28' class A Georgetown.it first struck me that way when you were crossing Wyoming and freezing. I get 4 full nights out of a tank. It's pretty cold in the Mountains. The "Jr." doesn't have two panels. Maybe your wall insulation has deteriorated. Jim
